In the mornings watch Butterflies & Lizards flutter and skitter amongst the shrubs, while at dusk Swallows, Sparrows & Magpies swoop over the pool drinking the water on their way joining the 150 species of Migrating Birds passing on their way to Africa. Once the sunset has passed Geckos hunt insects with furtive darts.
Further afield in the woods around Kisla pine martins, hedgehogs, wild boar, and tortoises grace the patient botanist. So magical is the area that at any moment one feels one might even see Unicorns. 🙂
On the protected delta behind Iztuzu beach heron’s, king fishers Caretta Carretta (Loggerhead Turtles) and Caspian turtles (striped-neck terrapin) delight as they go about their business. Myriad restaurants allow diners to observe these treasures as they dine on succulent fresh local produce.
